Pastor Gregg Tipton, How to be an Overcomer, Part 5
The FAITHFULNESS of an overcomer.
Daniel was faithful to his king, and as a result, he was appointed to be a satrap, which in ancient Persia, was a provincial governor. But because of jealousy, he experience opposition in his work for the empire. Daniel's enemies conspired against him, convincing the king to condemn him to the lion's den. But because Daniel was faithful, God delivered him, even from the mouths of the lions.
Daniel remained faithful even when his power was stripped from him. Daniel was so faithful that even his enemies acknowledged how faithful he was to his god. And Daniel remained faithful even knowing that it might cause him to be excluded from the "in crowd."
Daniel had what we might call "crazy faith." That's faith that sounds crazy if we just look at it logically, but it's the kind of faith that will save us when things go as badly as they can go, as they did for Daniel.
Crazy faith caused Daniel to, as the Bible says, "Give thanks in all things" and to remain faithful to God--no matter what. May we have crazy faith, like Daniel.
