Pastor Gregg Tipton, Zechariah, Part 9
In this message Pastor Gregg Tipton shares what the Bible says about wickedness, staring with the passage in Nehemiah that talks about the woman in the basket and the two winged women who carry her away to Babylon. Babylon, in this instance, is symbolic of a corrupt society, and there are parallels between what was happening in Babylon and what is happening now, in our society.
In any society, when people love the lie, when untruth takes the place of truth—in government, in information sharing—that society is in trouble. God will judge wickedness. Deception, which underlies any corrupt society, is evil, and the Bible says that God will judge those nations that choose to believe a lie. But the Bible says, He will wait until the wickedness of the lost is full, and then He will send, first, delusion and, then, judgment on those nations which choose to turn away from Him and to believe the lie, rather than seek to understand the truth of His word.
