In the book of Zechariah the Bible says that the people rebuilt the temple, in the face of resistance from the pagan people that lived in the lands around Jerusalem. We, too, face resistance while trying to do God's work. The Holy Spirit enables His people to serve Him and to be a light to the world. Just as a lamp needs a constant flow of oil to burn, continually, so do we also need the Holy Spirit to flow through us and empower our ministry.
